I am so excited to share this epic wedding with you guys! Jacky reached out to me after seeing my Sayulita wedding I did last year, so I was pretty excited to head back to Mexico for another beach side wedding. Destination weddings are fun because your wedding isn't just one day, it's a whole weekend experience! I got to tag along with the wedding crew for a one day boat tour (hosted by Vallarta Adventures) that took us to a little village called Yelapa.
The day of the wedding, the bridal party and myself took a speed boat to get to the venue. We laughed the entire way because we were hauling ass! Las Caletas is auuuhmazing & can only be reached by boat, which makes this place feel even more magical. Plants galore, exotic birds, tiki torches lighting up the whole island. I can't believe this place is a wedding venue, it's SO beautiful. Keep scrolling to read more details about the day/venue!
The Wedding Day!
THIS BRIDAL SUITE! Are you serious?! It's perfection & literally surrounded by plants! Hammocks everywhere for some serious beach r & r. To top it off, the girls had a private butler bringing lunch & endless mimosas.
The guys arrived (via catamaran) with the guests and I was able to sneak some photos of the groom & groomsmen before the ceremony started.
A parrot delivered the rings, yes a parrot.
Jacky & Preston found me on Instagram! I love that a little app connects me with the best clients. We did their engagement photos in Jacky's home town in La Jolla, CA. In just a few short days we will be heading to Puerto Vallarta to capture their big day! So excited!!!

Timeless, elegant and classy is the best way to describe this gorgeous wedding! Olympia & Marshall got married at the beautiful Bel Air Bay Club, just across the street from the beach. It was a gorgeous, summer day. Thank you for sharing your special day with me!

I love Megan and Michael's story. From the couple:
"Sunday, September 18th 2011 was the day the stars aligned. And who says Sunday Funday’s in Hermosa Beach, CA, are just for drunken debauchery!? Michael shouldn’t have even been in America, let alone Hermosa Beach. He has his brother to thank for losing his passport in Colombia, meaning they couldn’t meet in Cuba as planned. Instead, he booked onto a last minute flight to LA to join some friends on vacation. His last, jesting, words to his mother as he boarded the flight at Heathrow – “I’m going to find my future wife”. Megan shouldn’t have been out that day at all. She has her cousin, Steven, to thank for forgetting his ID the evening before, meaning their night was ended early and so a Sunday afternoon lunch was arranged instead. And so it was, on the final day of his vacation, Michael plucked up the courage to approach the Irish-American blonde bombshell standing across the bar that he had been leering at for far too long already. A ‘first date’ followed in New York two months later and the rest is history."
Shelby & Jeremy are so incredibly sweet!! They found me on Instagram a few months back and I was happy to finally meet them in person to capture their engagement session! We met at Coronado Beach in San Diego where we got lucky with the dreamiest sunset light! I always love it when couple are down to get wet and take a dip in the ocean no matter how cold it is. I can't wait for their wedding next Spring!! Thanks for a fun session guys!
I met up with Brittany & Derek at a beautiful wilderness spot in Santa Barbara, where Derek proposed to Brittany (aww!). This was my first time here, so it was wonderful exploring a new place and getting fresh inspiration for their shoot. What I loved about Santa Barbara, was that we were able to capture so many backgrounds! From wilderness, to the beach, to the mountains! Ending the session at the coolest little spot, Knapp's Castle. Brittany and Derek are so easy going and so very sweet! I'm looking forward to their wedding which will be held at Brittany's family home in Calabasas :) ENJOY!
I am so excited to share Kelsey & Jeff's big day! I absolutely love the fresh and soft palette Kelsey went with. It was a perfect June wedding, filled with lots of blooming peonies. Her Enzoani dress was totally made for her, the detail in this dress was simply stunning! Enjoy!

Their wedding day ran smoothly filled with lots of love under the California sunshine.
These champagne colored Badgley Mischka shoes, swooooon!

Amanda and her girls looked so gorgeous!! I love all the different hair styles!
Peonies?! YES PLEASE!
Love love love these signs from Happily Ever Etched!
And now some of my favorites from their romantic engagement shoot!!
I had a beautiful time photographing Mat & Ling's special's day! I knew from the very first interaction I had with Mat, that she was so sweet and welcoming. I got to know them during their engagement session last year and quickly learned that this couple was so easy to warm up to. I love that Mat & Ling travel the world together as a hobby. Ling is a talented photographer and takes some breathtaking photos while on their vacations (www.lingerabroad.com)! Enjoy :)

I had the honor to travel down south to the little beach town of Sayulita, to capture Steve & Kailana's wedding day. Before I booked this wedding, I had never heard of Sayulita. Now I can't stop telling everyone I know that they must travel to this beautiful place. The atmosphere and the authentic vibe of the Mexican culture surrounds you. Everything is walking distance, the streets adorned with multi colored flags. Fresh fruit on every corner and dozens of shops with local artistry for sale.
The wedding venue, Don Pedro's Palapa, overlooked the beach and the mood and setting was incredibly romantic. Courtney, with Sunset Soiree (www.sunet-soriee.com) was such a pleasure to work with it. She helped bring Kai's vision to life and I loved all the details and touches of the "Sayulita Life."
Mireya Quintero (www.sayulitalife.com/flormimo) made the gorgeous florals. Kai decided to do floral crowns for the bridesmaids, rather than the traditional bouquets. The backdrop for the ceremony was handmade by local artist, Cristina Razzano. This was simply stunning!! Truly a piece of art!
Kai and Steve shared their wedding with their closest friends and family. Destination weddings bring a sense of unity within the intimate crowed of guests, since the days leading up to it were spent sailing, surfing, sightseeing, dinners and exploring this quaint town. I am already looking forward to traveling to this magical place again.
