I had the honor to travel down south to the little beach town of Sayulita, to capture Steve & Kailana's wedding day. Before I booked this wedding, I had never heard of Sayulita. Now I can't stop telling everyone I know that they must travel to this beautiful place. The atmosphere and the authentic vibe of the Mexican culture surrounds you. Everything is walking distance, the streets adorned with multi colored flags. Fresh fruit on every corner and dozens of shops with local artistry for sale.
The wedding venue, Don Pedro's Palapa, overlooked the beach and the mood and setting was incredibly romantic. Courtney, with Sunset Soiree (www.sunet-soriee.com) was such a pleasure to work with it. She helped bring Kai's vision to life and I loved all the details and touches of the "Sayulita Life."
Mireya Quintero (www.sayulitalife.com/flormimo) made the gorgeous florals. Kai decided to do floral crowns for the bridesmaids, rather than the traditional bouquets. The backdrop for the ceremony was handmade by local artist, Cristina Razzano. This was simply stunning!! Truly a piece of art!
Kai and Steve shared their wedding with their closest friends and family. Destination weddings bring a sense of unity within the intimate crowed of guests, since the days leading up to it were spent sailing, surfing, sightseeing, dinners and exploring this quaint town. I am already looking forward to traveling to this magical place again.
